About Michelle
I grew up here in Kelowna and I'll be the person in the room with you, start to finish.
My name is Michelle Price. I went to Glenmore Elementary, then KSS, then Rutland. I've spent most of my career working with people in high-pressure situations — right now I manage a youth shelter at BGCO (Boys and Girls Club Okanagan). That work teaches you to build trust quickly, to meet people where they are, and to make someone feel safe before you ask anything of them. It's not that different from running a photo session.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. This studio is my move toward doing it full-time: capturing the personality, confidence, and real character of people in a setting that doesn't feel stiff or rushed.
What's different about working with me
Most photographers take your photo. I prepare you for it. Before a frame is taken, we look at example headshots together and I walk you through how to position your body, head, chin, and eyes to get the look you're going for. Then we shoot, you review images on the spot, and you pick exactly what gets retouched. Nothing goes past you.
I don't rush. I don't move 40 people through a day. You work directly with me from the time you book to the moment your images land in your inbox.
My clients come in nervous. They almost always leave having had fun — and with results they didn't think were possible from a photo session.
"Before starting the photo shoot Michelle and I went through a variety of published headshots and she explained how to position my body, head, chin and eyes to achieve a particular look. The shots were great before editing and absolutely amazing after editing."
